The George Price Centre for Peace and Development is very pleased to announce the latest addition to its library: The Rudolph I. Castillo, M.B.E. Collection.
This collection was donated to the Centre by Ms. Angela M. Joseph, goddaughter of Mr. Rudolph Castillo in honour of this former Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Secretary, High Commissioner and Ambassador. Mr. Castillo is also a long-time friend of Mr. Price and author of the book "Man of the People - A Profile of the Rt. Hon. George Price".
Ms. Angela M. Joseph says she was "honoured to create this collection for a humble and sincere gentleman. He is a wonderful patriot, and I wanted to thank him for his generous service to the country of Belize".
The new books - click here to view list - all fit into the central themes of our library: peace, democracy and the development of Belize and the Caribbean and Central-American Regions.
Thus far, we received a first delivery of 135 books (including a number of audio books) and many more are yet to come. We will keep you informed on the additional titles as soon as these arrive.
We wish to thank Ms. Angela M. Joseph for her priceless 'gift of knowledge' to Belize.
Kindly note that the Centre's library is a reference library. However, subscribers to the Friends of the Centre Membership can borrow books from the library for a limited time. The Friends of the Centre Programme was established in 2004 in support of our educational and cultural programmes.
