During a brief ceremony held yesterday at the George Price Centre for Peace and Development, Marla's Angels, the team of challengers from Marla's House of Hope were declared the winners of the Community Service Challenge 2008!

As reported earlier, during the Challenge the "Angels" assisted two elderly sisters as well as an elderly blind lady of Belmopan with house and garden work. The judges were particularly impressed with the team's preparedness to work and the genuine thoughtfulness they demonstrated by preparing cards and baked goods for the elderly people.

The Rotary Club of Belmopan and the George Price Centre for Peace and Development, organizers of the Community Service Challenge, wish to thank all those who assisted making this year's event possible and congratulate Marla's Angels on their well-deserved victory!
