Art Exhibit "Expressions" by Women in Belize opens at
the George Price Centre for Peace and Development
The U.S. Embassy is pleased to invite all to the Women’s History Month Art Exhibit: “Expressions” by Women in Belize at the George Price Centre for Peace and Development in Belmopan.
The exhibit opens on Tuesday, March 11 at 1.00 p.m. when Mrs. Gwynneth Dieter, wife of U.S. Ambassador Robert J. Dieter, will provide opening remarks to commemorate the celebration of Women’s History Month (USA).
The exhibit features female artists and demonstrates the vitality, creativity, and diversity of female talent in Belize. It is a tribute to all women and their exemplary strength and ability, not only in art but also in life. Several artists will participate in the exhibit including Carolyn Carr, Deborah Gail Cooper, Mrs. David Dyck, Rachel Heusner, Lita Krohn, Michele Perdomo, Mercy Sabal, Sabina Garcia and Pamela Brown. The exhibit is curated by Mr. Gilvano Swasey of the Image Factory.

The exhibit will be on display until March 25th and can be visited during regular opening hours: Monday to Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. (except lunch hour). To schedule school visits or a visit outside of these hours, please call the Centre at 822-1054.
