This summer, the George Price Centre for Peace and Development is opening its doors for 2 exciting programmes:
The Summer Reading Programme

The Summer Reading Programme aims to help children who need that little extra push to bring up their reading level. We want to give children confidence and show them that THEY CAN READ, with a bit of practice and perseverance and that reading is not as boring as they think it is but that it CAN BE A LOT OF FUN!
This year, we are focusing on students who have completed Infant I and Infant II. Registrations were administered through the primary schools of Belmopan, but there are still 7 spots available for the Infant I session. Look for details in the attached document and register your child now!
Kids + Computers = FUN

A volunteer team from the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology is coming all the way from Taiwan to help out several institutions in Belize to solve IT-related problems. In the afternoons, they will be teaching classes at the George Price Centre to children ages 12 to 14 in the use of Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and PhotoImpact! The programme will follow a carefully designed teaching plan and will be interesting, easy to learn and practical! Children can sign up for one of the following sessions:
SESSION 1: From July 21 to 25 - Monday through Friday from 1.30 to 4.30 p.m. (20 hrs.)
SESSION 2: From July 28 to August 1 - Monday through Friday from 1.30 to 4.30 p.m. (20 hrs.)
Registration fee is $20.00 only. Call us at 822-1054 or send an e-mail at info@gpcbelize.com for registration now!
Should your organization be in need of IT-related technical assistance, please let us know and we can schedule an appointment with the team for you (mornings only).
