
U.S. Ambassador Launches Black History Month Poster Show
at the George Price Centre for Peace and Development
Today, Wednesday, February 20, U.S. Ambassador Robert J. Dieter officially launched the Black History Month Poster Show at the George Price Centre for Peace and Development
The U.S. Embassy Belmopan organized this exhibition to celebrate Black History Month which was established in 1976 by the Association for the Study of Afro-American Life and History in remembrance of important people and events in African American history. It is celebrated annually in the U.S.A. in the month of February.
The poster show at the Centre highlights historically black colleges and universities.
The exhibit can be visited during regular opening hours: Monday to Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. (except lunch hour). Tuesdays opening hours are extended to 8.00 p.m. To schedule school visits or a visit outside of these hours, please call the Centre at 822-1054. |
