While the children still have two more weeks of summer fun to look forward to, the George Price Centre for Peace and Development has closed the doors of the Summer Programmes 2008. Over 120 children took part in our Information Technology and Reading Classes and without a doubt they all had a great time.
We would like to thank all the volunteers and contributors, without whom these programmes would not be possible. In the sincere hope not to have forgotten anyone, here's to whom we are sending a heartfelt thanks:
THE IT PROGRAMMES
- Eric Lee, Gipi Su, River Huang and the entire team of the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF) - teachers of the Kids Playground IT programme.
- Dr. Jenny Huang, Alice Yu, Katy Yang, Susan Van, Ken Lee and Nick Chuang of the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology - teachers of the Kids + Computers = Fun programme.
THE READING PROGRAMME

- Karen Olson, Vicky Forbes, Epiphale Calis, Janet Satchwell, Randeen Chimilio, Naomi Usher, Alma Gomez and Gwyneth Dieter - reading mentors for the Infant II group.
- The Belize Christian Academy and Gurpreet Tut, who donated more children books to the library
Jaime Alpuche, Leonard and Cathy Hill, Grant McPherson and Citrus Products of Belize, whose contributions ensured that the children had a delicious snack and juice every day.
