The Embassy of Brazil in Belize invites you to a concert by:

Palha de Milho (Corn Straw)
Brazilian Regional and Popular Music Quartet

Friday, October 26 at 8.00 p.m.

The Palha de Milho quartet formed by Guilherme Bedran, Cláudio Monnerat, Paulão Menezes and Fernando Bittencourt will play Brazilian regional music, using acoustic and artisan instruments. The repertoire contains own compositions, enriched by the vitality of Brazilian folklore songs that are already of public domain, as well as songs composed by masters as Zé Côco do Riachão, Helena Meirelles, Zé Dantas, Capiba, Chiquinha Gonzaga, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Luis Gonzaga and Lourival Oliveira among others.

This concert is part of a series of events at the George Price Centre for Peace and Development called "One World" whereby the Foreign Embassies in Belize showcase their country's culture to heighten understanding and to promote the peaceful coexistence of our different cultures.
