With the advent of global warming, the United Nations Framework on Climate Change considers the low-lying country of Belize to be one of the areas most vulnerable to climate change associated impacts. Many Belizeans are now asking: What exactly is climate change? And what sort of impacts will it have on the environment, the marine ecosystems and our very livelihoods?
World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Central America has an ongoing public awareness campaign in Belize to help increase understanding of the impacts of Climate Change and better enable adaptation to climate change impacts. All are cordially invited to attend this informative meeting at the George Price Centre for Peace and Development on Wednesday, November 7 at 6.30 p.m.
