One World: Mexico!

The Embassy of Mexico in Belize invites you to a concert by:

The Javier Nandayapa Trio was formed in March of 2000, with musicians of diverse backgrounds, and with a repertory ranging from minimalist and impressionists, to contemporary and folkloric music.

Among the most relevant activities of the group there is a large number of performances in different venues in Mexico, including the International Percussion Festival, the Blas Galindo Hail in Mexico City's National Center for the Arts; the Chihuahua University, Ciudad Juarez, and the Esperanza Iris Theater. Moreover, they have successfully interpreted contemporary marimba music, performing concert music from national and international repertories.

This concert is the first in a series of events at the George Price Centre for Peace and Development called "One World" whereby the Foreign Embassies in Belize will showcase their country to heighten understanding and to promote the peaceful coexistence of our different cultures. Participating Embassies are: Mexico, United Kingdom, United States, Brazil, Guatemala, Cuba and El Salvador.
