Worship in the Storm
Navigating Life’s Adversities
By Jay Strack and Diane R. Strack

Fact: “At any given moment, there are an estimated 2,000 thunderstorms in progress over the Earth’s surface.  These storms can vary from relatively mild rainstorms to very damaging storms that feature hail and high wind”.  Storms, adversities, problems.  We all face them, and they can be scary, confusing and discouraging.  In Worship in the Storm, Jay and Diane Strack will help you understand that experiencing difficult circumstances and trials in life can actually be a GOOD thing!

“I believe that happiness consists in serving others and not oneself”
George Price, Miami Herald, June 24, 1979

Upon the suggestion of the Executive Board of the George Price Centre for Peace and Development, the National Celebration Commission has agreed to declare September 19th as “National Service Day”.
On that day, all Belizeans are invited to carry out a community service activity, in memory of the Right Honourable George Price who passed away that day in 2011.  The event, we believe, reflects the character of Mr. Price and is intended to inspire all Belizean people to take positive action for a better Belize.
We encourage you, be it as an individual, school, neighbourhood, church group or any organization to be of service to your community.  Clean up a park, sea shore or river bank, raise funds for a good cause, volunteer your time or talent with an organization in need, deliver a care basket to the sick in the hospital, …. Give up of yourself to serve others.

We would love to hear from you!
Send us your stories and pictures of how you honoured Mr. Price on National Service day!

Thirty Days
An Inside Account of Tony Blair at War
By Peter Stothard

Before Britain could help the United States in the war against Saddam Hussein, Tony Blair faced a battle against his own voters, his own party, and his own allies in Europe. These were among the most tense and tumultuous weeks the world had seen since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

In thirty days, Blair took on his opponents and won.

Through it all, Peter Stothard had unprecedented access to Blair — from Ten Downing Street and the House of Commons through the war summits in the Azores, Brussels, Belfast, and at Camp David. Stothard brings us inside the corridors of power during this extraordinary time, offering a vivid, up-close view of an enormously popular leader facing the challenge of his life.
